“Among us, beside us and everywhere around us.
A wave rolling easily, backwards and forwards through time, up and down beyond it. For now we seem the time-servers in that great cloud of witnesses. Clocking in, clocking out, in daily duty to that hoped-for kingdom. But our moment is here. For all moments are now. We hold invisible hands with those who have gone down in history. We cannot let go. They are holding us.” – M. Wroe.
February 6. Karla’s Heaven’s Entry Day. Two years only, and two years already. You’ll probably experience lots of moments of remembering Karla throughout these years. I do for sure. It’s a new way of life. A path that opens up every day right in front of you. Everyday I ask for guidance. And to understand better the Language of Love. That part of Life that’s the most mysterious, and is omnipresent, and never fading. Continuously wanting to speak to us, from within the littlest detail through the grander moments. It seems as by letting that part of your heart be opened up when the Light of Love starts to communicate with you, personally, subjectively, a direct conversation that goes beyond words that starts happening — and the cool part is, it’s not in the past, nor future, or a mere memory, it’s right in the moment, right there, right in front of you, in that Nowness – a dialogue that’s as normal as a walk in the park.
Remembering her is easiest by remembering a moment of her or a picture of her smiling. That smile that powerfully radiates her verve. It will brighten up your day instantly.
The way I remember her through these photos and accompanying text might seem distant, as a detachment from our daily engagement between streams of selfies. Even though selfies are awesome, (I never made so many as with her), today is also a day of contemplation, taking a step back, as we long for a place, a time, that is with her again. ‘Saudade’ as they say in Brazilian Portuguese. And with that, I try to capture that journey to get closer.
From a zoomed-out distant view, to a zoomed-in close-up view. An extra-dimensional passage we all have to cross, but when facing that day to come with all your love, then I can’t stop imagining how awesome that spectacle of a journey will be on our way meeting her again. A marvel full of light, magnificent clouds, serene flowing waters, golden shorelines…
However, ask and listen carefully, and Love, that borderless state called Heaven, will talk, and not from a far away world of green valleys in another starry galaxy, it might just as well be right among you, beside you, and everywhere around you, right here and right now. It’s reaching out to hold you. Almost trying to kiss you.
